AstroOS uses local storage and session storage for purposes that are strictly necessary for the Service to function. These include:

• Authentication: Storing your session state so you remain logged in.
• Security: Storing your re-authentication threshold and biometric preferences.
• Application state: Remembering your last route, return experience preferences, and session activity status.
• Feature preferences: Storing your chart view mode, tutorial completion state, accessibility settings, and other UI preferences.
• Offline data: Storing learning progress, chart exploration history, and engagement signals so the application functions without requiring a server round-trip for every interaction.
• PWA functionality: Storing installation state and engagement data to determine when to suggest installing AstroOS to your home screen.
• Notification preferences: Remembering whether you have been asked about notifications and your choices.

The Base44 platform, which hosts AstroOS, may also set authentication tokens that are necessary for the Service to function. These are essential for security and authentication.

Because these technologies are strictly necessary for the Service to function, they do not require prior consent under applicable cookie regulations.

AstroOS does not use:

• Advertising cookies or pixels
• Third-party analytics cookies or tracking scripts
• Social media tracking pixels
• Cross-site tracking cookies
• Fingerprinting technologies for advertising purposes

Because AstroOS only uses strictly necessary technologies (local storage, session storage, and essential authentication tokens), no cookie consent banner is displayed. You are not required to make any choices about non-essential cookies because AstroOS does not use any.

Clearing this data will sign you out of AstroOS and reset your preferences. Your account data (profile, natal chart, journal entries, etc.) is stored on the server and will remain available when you sign back in.

AstroOS uses Google for optional OAuth authentication. When you sign in with Google, Google may set its own cookies on its authentication pages. These are governed by Google's privacy policy and cookie settings, not by AstroOS.

The Base44 platform, which hosts AstroOS, manages authentication tokens necessary for the Service to function. These are strictly necessary for security.

If AstroOS introduces new technologies, we will update this Cookie Policy. If non-essential technologies are introduced, we will implement an appropriate consent mechanism before activating them.
